We have a VERY yummy special today in the student store. Stop in to see what it is. We also will have strawberry milkshakes and rootbeer floats.

Join us for the First Annual West Salem Student Art Exhibition, this Saturday, May 12th from 11am to 4pm. Visual arts created by West Salem students will be on display. Bring the whole family for a free and fun day of art, refreshments, and photo opportunities. See ya there!

During both lunches this week, buy your purple Lupus Awareness bracelet to help find a cure for LUPUS. Bracelets are $2 each or 3 for $5. When you buy 3 you can put your name into the drawing to win one of many gift cards to local businesses like Dutch Bros., Starbucks, Jamba Juice to name a few. Thursday, May 10th will be school-wide Purple Out!

West Salem Ed Foundation is giving away 4 $500 scholarships. See Alyssa Chase in the Aspire office for an application. Forms are due May 11th.

Our next Titan Talk will be Wednesday, May 16th at 2:45 in B214. Mr. Holman is our speaker. Titan Talks are sponsored by NHS.

May NHS meeting will be in B126 at 2:30. We will be voting on officers for next year.

The WSHS Emergency Services club is hosting a nationally renowned class called “Stop the Bleed” – this is a hands-on interactive class aimed at teaching EVERYONE how to stop a life threatening bleed. You really CAN save a life. The class is Wednesday, May 16th at 2:30 in Room A115. Please register by going to the WSHS website and following the link.

Seniors – just a reminder if you would like to have your scholarship listed in the graduation program, please make sure you turn it in to Mrs. Whiteley in the Counseling office by Thursday, May 10th.

Seniors don’t forget that the college you will be attending next year will need a copy of your final transcripts. Please order through the counseling tab on our website and select Final for the type of transcript – Final transcripts will be ready sometime the week of June 25th.

The West Salem Drama Department is proud to announce the 2018-19 fall musical will be Lin Manuel Miranda’s “BRING IT ON”. Loosely based on the 2000 film, “Bring it On”. Focuses on the competitive world of cheerleading and over-the-top team rivalries. Auditions will be Monday, May 21 through Wednesday, May 23. We are calling all students interested in break dancing, contemporary pop, or gymnastics, this is your chance to BRING IT! JUNIORS! Now is the time to choose your senior locker for next year. Stop by the main office and write your name on the senior locker list!
